Nairobi to Kisumu Train Schedule

Kenya Railways has introduced 12 Hour overnight passenger train between Nairobi and Kisumu. This train replaces the morning train dubbed the Kisumu Safari train.

According to the corporation, the Nairobi to Kisumu train will make trips every Friday leaving the Nairobi Central Station at 6:30 PM and arriving in Kisumu at 06:30 AM. The return trip will be every Sunday with the train departing the New Kisumu Station at 6:30 PM and arriving in Nairobi at 06:35 AM.

Stops and Stations

The Kisumu Night train will make stops at Kibera, Kikuyu, Longonot, Nakuru, Elburgon, Molo, Mau Summit, Londiani, Kipkelion, Fort Ternan, Muhoroni, Chemelil, and Miwani before arriving at the New Kisumu Train Station.

Other stations along the line include Dagoretti, Limuru, Uplands, Kijabe, Suswa, Naivasha, GilGil, Mbaruk, Nakuru Junction, Njoro, Turi, Kedowa, Tunnel, Koru, and Kibos.

Nairobi to Kisumu Train Prices.

However, the Kisumu Safari train prices remain the same. Economy Class Passengers will continue to pay Kshs 600 while the First Class Coaches fare will be Kshs 2,000.
